Job summary

Techniche Global Ltd. supports a global software, systems and engineering company in the defence sector by appointing an Electronic Technician. You will help ensure EMC and TEMPEST compliance for critical defence systems and support the safety and performance of mission-critical equipment.

Based in Farnborough, this 100% onsite role offers 37 hours per week, a salary of £37k–£38k per annum, and a competitive benefits package including 25 days holiday and a strong pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in RF engineering, EMC or electronics testing.
• Hands-on experience with electronics or RF measurements (apprenticeship, college course or first role).
• Ability to write clear technical notes or documents.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with customers.
• Willingness to travel occasionally in the UK or overseas.
• Basic ability to use equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers or antennas (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Support the development of EMC test plans under guidance.
• Set up customer equipment for EMC and TEMPEST testing.
• Conduct EMC/TEMPEST measurements using specialist RF equipment.
• Analyse test data and contribute to detailed technical test reports.

Job description

We are working with a global Software, Systems & Engineering company in the Defence Sector, supporting them with appointing an Electronic Technician. You ll play a key role in helping us ensure customer systems meet Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and TEMPEST requirements, supporting the safety, security and performance of critical defence and national security systems.

In this hands-on role, you ll be involved in the planning, setup and execution of EMC/TEMPEST tests, working directly with customer equipment and contributing to high quality technical documentation under UKAS accreditation.

Salary: £37-38k per annum + company benefits, including 25 days holiday plus a highly competitive pension scheme

Location: Farnborough 100% onsite

Working hours: 37 per week

Duration: perm, full time

Requirements: sole UK nationals living and working in the UK for the past 5 years

What You ll Be Doing:
