Job summary

DUAL in London seeks an entry-level Underwriting Assistant to support the full underwriting lifecycle, from submissions to policy administration, in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will build numeracy and data-management skills, prepare files and summaries, and collaborate with underwriters, brokers and finance to ensure accurate, timely processing. This role is office-based in London.

Qualifications

• Intellectual curiosity and interest in international business and current affairs.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to organise multiple live transactions and prioritise under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and transaction support through assessment, quotation, binding and post-bind management.
• Record and organise submissions; obtain missing financial, commercial or policy information.
• Prepare underwriting files, indications and endorsements; track conditions and approvals.
• Maintain underwriting records and support pre-bind controls and peer review.
• Research companies, banks, countries and sectors; prepare concise summaries.
• Monitor risk data, premium and exposure; support data quality and reporting.
• File policy documents and liaise with Operations and Finance on processing.
