Entry-Level CAD Technician

A great opportunity has arisen for an Entry Level CAD Technician to join a leading design, manufacturing and installation company based in Medway Towns on a permanent basis.

You will be working Monday-Thursday and Friday.

The main purpose of the role is to produce 2D AutoCAD drawings of ventilation systems for customer approval.

Your main duties will include:

1. Interpretation of customer ductwork and equipment drawings.
2. Calculating required airflows and design systems.
3. Working in accordance with company quality procedures.
4. Contribute to continuous improvement.
5. Attending team meetings and contributing to the team development topic.
6. Communicating with customers and consultants to confirm information and requirements.
7. Liaising with project managers, revising drawings as required.

Experience/Qualifications:

1. A technical design background and experience with sheet metal and ductwork systems.
2. Experience in Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor & Vault OR similar design platforms following the same design practices.
3. A background and knowledge of commercial ventilation desirable.
4. Revit (3D Modelling) experience desirable.
