Entry Level Accounts Assistant
£24,000-£25,000 per annum
Chelmsford, Essex
Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm

Duties:
As an Entry Level Accounts Assistant, you'll be an essential part of the finance team. Your responsibilities will include:

Data entry of purchase and sales invoices
Creation and maintenance of supplier records
Payment of supplier invoices through the purchase ledger routine
Inputting urgent payments and creating BACS payment files
Maintenance and input of standing invoice and payment records
Responding to supplier and agent queries with professionalism
Performing allocated bank reconciliations
Producing and checking Debtors & Creditors reports and aged analyses
Weekly reconciliation of the purchase ledger clearing account
Recording and allocating daily cheque receipts
Identifying and creating credit notes
Responding to tenant and agent queries
Operating the Direct Debit collection scheme, including setup and maintenance
Liaising with agents regarding amounts to collect by Direct Debit
Managing the tenant deposit scheme, including recording receipts and returning deposits
Daily reconciliation of the general client bank account
Monthly reconciliation of the Direct Debit clearing account

Person Specification:
To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively
A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy
A genuine desire to work within accounts
A minimum of A Levels
