Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in East London is seeking an Entry 3 Lecturer for Foundation Learning to support learners with low starting points, SEND/SEMH needs and barriers to learning.

You will deliver English, Maths, tutorials and personal/social/study skills; support learners, monitor progress and attendance, and contribute to EHCP and progression planning. This role runs across 5 days, 32+ hours per week on a part-time, temporary contract.

Qualifications

• Full Level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or DET) is required.
• Experience teaching SEND/SEMH learners.
• Experience delivering English and Maths.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Inclusive, patient and resilient approach.
• Availability for part-time, temporary role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English, Maths, tutorials and personal/social/study skills.

• Develop engaging and differentiated learning.
• Support positive behaviour and learner engagement.
• Monitor progress, attendance and achievement.
