Job summary

Slough Borough Council is offering a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship in the Early Years Education and Childcare Team. This fixed-term apprenticeship (18 months) develops skills in administration, customer service, finance, data management and public services while supporting children and families in Slough.

You’ll study through Crosby Training with online and face-to-face sessions in Slough, guided by experienced colleagues in a busy local government setting.

Job description

  • Directorate: Children's Services
  • Pay Level: £15,500 (Apprenticeship rate in line with the National Apprenticeship Wage and Slough Borough Council apprenticeship arrangements. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, progression opportunities may be available within the service)
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term apprenticeship (18months)
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
  • DBS requirement: Enhanced

This apprenticeship is aimed at young people aged 16-18 living in Slough and will be delivered through a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship programme.

We are offering an exciting apprenticeship within our Early Years Education and Childcare Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop professional skills in business administration, customer service, finance, data management and public services while making a positive contribution to children and families across Slough.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will complete a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship delivered by Crosby Training, with dedicated study time provided through a combination of online learning and face-to-face sessions in Slough.

What you’ll be doing:

As an Early Years Entitlements Assistant Officer Apprentice, you will:
