Principal Education is recruiting a Science Teacher for maternity cover in a North West London secondary school from January 2027. The role is full-time and fixed-term, with MPS/UPS depending on experience.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Passion for education and ability to motivate students.
• Adaptable and collaborative approach to teaching.
• ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students to develop genuine interest in Science.
• Deliver differentiated lessons for varying abilities.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and an inclusive classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Faculty.
• Support students to achieve academic potential and exam readiness.
• Contribute to wider school community and extracurricular activities.
