Entertainment Editor, YOU Magazine

Location: YOU Magazine HQ - High Street Kensington, London

Position: Permanent

About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Entertainment Editor to join Britain’s best-read women’s magazine, with 1.3 million weekly readers.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing cover stars and commissioning cover interviews. They should have a good roster of celebrity contacts and the following experience:

• Proven experience editing the entertainment section of a national newspaper or magazine, preferably a weekly supplement
• Extensive experience commissioning covers and working with agents and entertainment PRs
• Strong contacts within the entertainment PR and agency world
• Demonstrated experience in commissioning and editing content
• Full-time, office-based work with willingness to attend events, launches, theatre openings, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying the right stars for the YOU audience
• Staying updated on upcoming film, TV, music, theatre, and podcasts
• Managing entertainment coverage in print
• Contributing ideas for online content
• Collaborating regularly with the Editor and Deputy Editor
