Job summary

Elanco, a global animal health leader, seeks a Solution Architect to own the Company Tower architecture bridging SAP ERP with modern engineering platforms. You will guide end-to-end value chains across HR, Finance, Legal, and more, setting standards for API-enabled, cloud-native solutions while managing technical debt and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Information Systems/Computer Science.
• 7+ years delivering enterprise IT systems.
• Experience leading architectural decisions in ERP/SAP environments.
• Hands-on background in cloud-native and multi-cloud platforms.
• Strong API-first and integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 'build vs. buy vs. extend' analysis across ERP SAP, cloud-native builds, or third-party SaaS.
• Influence the enterprise architecture blueprint and investments for product groups.
• Advise on scalable AI and automation patterns while ensuring privacy and SOX compliance.
• Partner to move custom logic to SAP BTP or external microservices to reduce debt.
• Design a composable architecture where SAP and Non-SAP components communicate via APIs.
• Translate high-level designs into a ready-to-build state with paved roads.
• Contribute to strategic technology roadmap and architecture standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management in pre-discovery to align technical direction.
