Job summary

SF Partners in South Birmingham is seeking a Network Engineer to join a high-growth technology organisation. You will own the design, implementation, configuration and support of complex enterprise network infrastructure, with occasional travel to customer sites for installations and upgrades.

Ideal candidates have strong enterprise networking experience including BGP/OSPF, VLANs, EVPN and VXLAN, and can manage high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise networking across routing and switching.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRRP/HSRP and Spanning Tree.
• Strong understanding of QoS, Multicast, IPv4/IPv6 and high availability.
• Experience with switching platforms and data centre networking.
• Exposure to EVPN, VXLAN, MLAG and Leaf-Spine architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting across routing, switching, firewalls and connectivity.
• Experience in secure or air-gapped environments.
• Strong customer-facing communication and project ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure and support complex enterprise network infrastructure.
• Attend customer sites to deliver installations and upgrades.
• Conduct network audits and technical health checks.
• Take ownership of technical projects and solve complex problems.
