About the role

Due to significant growth within BSI driven by large-scale, business-wide technology transformation, we are looking for an Enterprise Integration Architect.

This role reports to the Head of Enterprise Architecture within the IT Strategy, Data and Architecture directorate and is crucial in maximizing strategic advantage from technology investments by:

• Demonstrating understanding of strategic issues and being an authority on platform integration and related challenges, from concept to decommissioning.
• Leading the definition of a SOA architecture from SaaS components towards a MACH model.
• Possessing detailed practical knowledge of technology platforms, development, and integration standards, tools, and techniques.
• Aligning with the organisation's IT strategy, policies, and standards, with knowledge of risk assessment, change management, and metrics.
• Showing analytical ability, attention to detail, and understanding of all stages of systems development.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining the overall integration strategy, including technology and framework selection.
• Creating and evolving enterprise integration architectures, principles, policies, and standards.
• Promoting adoption of integration approaches and ensuring solutions meet requirements, standards, and regulations.
• Identifying emerging technologies and assessing their impact on BSI’s strategic goals, threats, and risks.
• Creating reports, technology roadmaps, and sharing insights on emerging tech.
• Planning transition and implementation of new applications and infrastructure, considering constraints and benefits.
• Providing expert advice on enterprise architecture within IT.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SOA, composable, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in delivering complex solutions in project teams.
• Advisory and governance experience across multiple projects.
• Deep practical knowledge of technology platforms and standards.
• Strong analytical, influencing, and stakeholder skills.
