Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc is seeking a senior leader to define and own the Digital & IT data strategy, aligning data, analytics, and AI with product, technology, and commercial goals. You will own enterprise data architecture, oversee data governance, and drive data products that power growth and regulatory compliance.

The role demands extensive experience across analytics, cloud platforms, and data engineering, with a track record of delivering across large, global enterprises.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience (5+ years) across Data Architecture, Data Science, Analytics, and Data Engineering.
• 15+ years industry experience across Analytics, Digital & IT, Cloud, and Network data domains.
• Proven delivery of end-to-end data capabilities from strategy through execution.
• Experience designing and scaling modern cloud-based data platforms (GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Azure, AWS).
• Strong understanding of data architectures (data lakes, lakehouse, streaming, real-time processing).
• Experience establishing data as a strategic product and governance framework.
• Experience leading Data Science, Analytics, and Data Engineering teams with measurable impact.
• Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, governance, and value measurement.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication across complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the Digital & IT data strategy in partnership with Product leadership and senior stakeholders.
• Lead data, analytics, and AI as core enablers of growth, CX excellence, and operational effectiveness.
• Own end-to-end enterprise data architecture across digital channels, IT systems and networks.
• Ensure data integration across customer journeys and platforms for insight and automation.
• Govern enterprise standards for data platforms, pipelines, analytics engineering, and AI solutions.
• Drive delivery of advanced analytics and AI capabilities from ideation to production.
• Ensure data products and insights are production-grade, governed and measurable.
