We work closely with clients to understand their unique data and technology needs, offering extensive datasets across asset types, multiple delivery channels, and flexible scheduling. Role Overview

We seek a Sales Specialist to drive revenue within Bloomberg's Enterprise Data product suite, focusing on Quantitative Research and Data Science workflows. As data science transforms investment strategies, this role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of financial innovation, positioning Bloomberg's content and technology at the core of modern research and quant strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Articulate the value of Bloomberg's Enterprise and Research data products by linking market trends and client workflows.
  • Partner with quantitative researchers, data scientists, and portfolio managers to integrate Bloomberg data into their workflows.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to incorporate client feedback into product development.
  • Lead sales and retention efforts for Bloomberg's Research and Data Science datasets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies with enterprise sales, account management, and solutions teams.
  • Coordinate technical and sales resources to validate client workflows.
  • Educate colleagues on quant-related sales opportunities.
  • Work across business units to deliver tailored, value-added solutions.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to address client challenges and enhance strategic value.
  • Maintain regular client interactions through meetings, workshops, and site visits.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects supporting departmental and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Mentor colleagues, contribute to training, lead sales campaigns, and suggest product improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services, ideally in data, technology, or commercial roles.
  • Proven consultative sales skills, including market research, lead generation, and deal closing.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and training skills in English.
  • Deep understanding of client business models and data needs across research, quant, and trading functions.
  • Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including CxO level.
  • Knowledge of quantitative finance, research workflows, and the data science ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with alpha modeling, signal construction, and portfolio analytics.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python or R and tools such as Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Solution-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to be based in London and travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for innovation and future of enterprise solutions.
  • Understanding of machine learning and AI applications in finance.
  • Experience with research or alternative data sets.
  • Fluency in European languages, especially French, Italian, or German.
  • Experience from the client side, such as a quant, data scientist, or portfolio manager, is a plus.
