Job summary

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a senior Data Management leader within the Digital, Data and Technology function. You will lead the Data Management team, shape enterprise data standards, governance frameworks and data lifecycle processes.

This leadership role combines strategy with hands-on delivery, overseeing modelling, metadata and data products, and ensuring colleagues across the Service embed data requirements in systems while building data capability and literacy.

This role leads the Data Management team within the Digital, Data and Technology function at Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, reporting to the Information and Data Governance Manager and line managing two Data Management Officers. The post centres on building enterprise data standards, governance frameworks and data lifecycle processes that frontline and corporate services can rely on. It is a leadership role spanning strategy and hands-on delivery, including modelling, metadata and embedding data requirements in new systems. Significant experience in data management and governance is expected.
