Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services UKI is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to lead definition and execution of enterprise-scale data and AI architectures for financial services clients. You will work with CIOs, CTOs, and data leaders to drive transformation across data platforms, analytics, and AI-enabled services.

Responsibilities include setting AI data roadmaps, designing scalable cloud/hybrid/on‑prem data solutions, and establishing governance, risk controls, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AI data programmes, preferably BFSI.
• Strong data architecture knowledge: data lakes, lakehouse, data warehouses, streaming.
• Hands-on with AI/ML/GenAI architectures and MLOps.
• Experience designing solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Security, privacy, risk considerations in BFSI contexts.
• Solid SDLC and agile governance understanding.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect - AI Data to lead the definition and execution of enterprise-scale data and AI architectures for our financial services clients. The role provides strategic guardrails, independent challenge, and outcome-led guidance across large-scale, regulated transformations, acting as a trusted advisor to CxOs. You will work closely with client technology leadership, business stakeholders, delivery teams, and partners to drive transformation across data platforms, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-enabled services.

Your responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise AI Data architecture vision and roadmap, aligned to business strategy and regulatory obligations.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient data platforms, including cloud, hybrid, and on-premise architectures.
• Lead architecture for advanced analytics, machine learning, GenAI, and MLOps, ensuring production-grade robustness.
• Establish AI governance, data management, and responsible AI frameworks, including security, privacy, explainability, and model risk controls.
• Translate business outcomes into architecture patterns, reference architectures, and standards.
• Advise senior client stakeholders (CIO, CDO, CRO, Heads of Data/AI) on AI Data transformation decisions.
• Evaluate and recommend platforms, tools, and technologies across data engineering, AI, analytics, and integration.
• Produce and maintain high-quality architecture artefacts, including target-state designs, transition states, and solution blueprints.
• Support large-scale transformation initiatives such as platform modernisation, cloud migration, and AI adoption programmes.

Your Profile

• Proven experience as an Enterprise or Lead Architect in AI Data programmes, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of data architecture (data lakes, lakehouse, data warehouses, streaming, metadata, governance).
• Hands-on experience with AI / ML / GenAI architectures, including model lifecycle management and MLOps.
• Experience designing solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including native data and AI services.
• Solid grasp of security, privacy, regulatory, and risk considerations relevant to BFSI (e.g., data protection, model risk, auditability).
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, agile delivery models, and architectural governance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage credibly at executive level.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

• Extensive BFSI transformation experience
• Proven CxO advisory capability
• Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, data platforms, data products, and AI/GenAI in regulated environments
• Experience working with global, multi-vendor delivery teams.
• Industry certifications in cloud, data, or architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Cloud Architect, Data Architect).
