Job summary

Canopius Group is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to translate business requirements into cohesive, enterprise‑scale technical solutions. You will lead architecture across transformation programs, shaping an interoperable cloud‑native estate and guiding multi‑disciplinary teams.

You will mentor others, align with enterprise standards and collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable architectures across our Lloyd's market focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect across digital applications, software engineering, microservices, cloud and BPM.
• Strong understanding of architectural concepts, methodologies and approaches.
• Hands-on exposure to Azure cloud technologies across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
• Excellent design and documentation skills with UML/BPMN.

Responsibilities

• Provide solution architecture leadership across transformation initiatives aligned to strategy.
• Translate business requirements into cohesive technical solutions with enterprise dependencies.
• Architect enterprise-scale programs including development, re‑engineering and integration.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Document architecture across projects and communicate trade-offs and risks.
• Mentor project teams and promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Engage senior leadership to drive collaboration and alignment across regions.
• Lead planning and estimation, including non-functional requirements early.
• Promote modern engineering practices, AI opportunities, and safe automation.
