Enterprise Business Analyst – Commodities Trading House | Enterprise / Cross-Functional / Gas | £850/Day Outside IR35 | 2-3 days office, LDN

Our client, a Commodities & Energy Trading House, is launching a large-scale enterprise transformation and seeks an Enterprise Business Analyst to help orchestrate this project end-to-end, with expertise in Front Office Energy Trading IT and the Gas desk.

The project involves aligning sales and retail functions with Trading IT. As an Enterprise Business Analyst, you will collaborate with front and middle office users, have direct desk access on the trading floor, and gain exposure across the trade lifecycle, sales, and retail operations to develop a comprehensive roadmap for integrating these areas.

Your responsibilities include conducting assessments, gathering requirements, documenting business needs, running workshops, and translating technical requirements for development teams. Knowledge of the Physical Commodities trading lifecycle, especially physical Gas trading or similar assets, is highly preferred.

You should be proactive in engaging with users, working collaboratively, and taking ownership of creating structured documentation such as user story backlogs. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Day rate: Up to £850/Day Outside IR35

Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days in the office, London

Duties include:

1. Working with users to identify their needs
2. Creating examples, mock-ups, test cases to clarify requirements and solutions
3. Performing system or data analysis to identify changes
4. Working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Experience required:

• Minimum 5 years as an IT Business Analyst in Trading
• Experience in Physical Commodities trading, understanding the lifecycle
• Enterprise-level IT transformation experience
• Knowledge of front/middle office activities, including pricing, valuation, P&L, and risk exposure
