Harvey Nash is partnering to appoint an Enterprise Architect (open to Senior Solutions Architects) in Newcastle. The role will shape the enterprise architecture from the ground up, defining the future-state, governance, and roadmaps across a global organisation.

You will balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, engaging senior stakeholders to translate business challenges into technology solutions and establishing a cohesive enterprise-wide approach.

Qualifications

Broad experience in architecture roles within large organisations.
Understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, cloud, infrastructure and data.
Experience defining architecture strategy, governance frameworks and roadmaps.
Strong stakeholder engagement, translating business needs into technology.

Responsibilities

Establish and lead the Enterprise Architecture function with governance and standards.
Define current-state and target-state architecture across apps, data, integrations and infra.
Develop technology roadmaps aligning with business strategy and transformation.
Provide architectural leadership across key technology initiatives.
Create capability maps and artefacts to map business capabilities to tech dependencies.
Engage with business stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities where tech adds value.
Chair architecture governance forums and support strategic technology investments.
Define integration patterns and data flows across a complex enterprise estate.
Support vendor selection and multi-supplier management.
Promote consistency, simplification, and reuse across platforms.
