Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a Data & AI Enterprise Architect Manager to lead our Data and AI architecture strategy, align technology decisions with business goals, regulatory obligations and member outcomes, and guide a team of architects.
This hybrid role includes Leeds/Bradford office presence with remote options, and offers a clear path to shape enterprise-wide roadmaps, governance and standards while influencing senior stakeholders across the Society.

We're looking for a Data & AI Enterprise Architect Manager to lead our Data and AI architecture strategy, ensuring technology decisions support our business ambitions, regulatory obligations and member outcomes. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll influence enterprise-wide change, shape future capabilities and lead a team of architects.
This is a hybrid role with remote working and some time in our central Leeds office & Bradford office.
As our Data & AI Enterprise Architect Manager, you'll define the target architecture, standards and roadmaps that guide how Data and AI capabilities evolve across the Society.
You will -
Lead and develop a team of Solution and Domain Architects
Own the Data & AI enterprise architecture, governance, standards and design patterns
Shape strategic roadmaps aligned to our Corporate, Technology, Data, AI and Security strategies
Drive consistency, re-use and simplification across our technology estate
Provide architectural leadership on key change initiatives and technology investment decision
Ensure solutions meet security, risk and regulatory requirements
Influence senior stakeholders and champion best practice architecture across the Society
You'll be an experienced architecture leader who can connect business strategy with technology direction, bringing clarity to complex challenges and inspiring others to deliver great outcomes.
You’ll have -
Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture or a similar strategic architecture leadership role
TOGAF certification (or equivalent architecture qualification and experience)
Strong expertise in Data and AI architecture and strategy
Experience developing enterprise-wide roadmaps, standards and architectural governance
A track record of aligning technology architecture to business objectives
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including at senior level
Experience leading, coaching and developing architecture teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Experience of Agile and DevOps delivery
Knowledge of modern integration, APIs, microservices and data technologies
