M&G is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect for Investments to drive architecture and technology strategy across Asset Management and Life segments, aligning solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements.

You will lead data strategy, advise on solution architecture, and collaborate with Investment Transformation teams to deliver a rolling three-year technology plan focused on performance, reuse and cost efficiency.

• Deep understanding of Asset Management Business and Technology across both Public and Private markets.
• 15+ years of demonstrated experience in delivering architecture value and enterprise solutions.
• Experience across solution development lifecycle and SDLC governance.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.

Senior Enterprise Architecture - Investments.

Reporting into Head of Enterprise Architecture, Investments, Corporate Functions and Finance. Ensuring that technology solutions delivered though Investments Transformation support the business strategic objectives whilst developing and maintaining our own technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Enterprise Architecture and Technical Strategy across Investments
• Ensure the Data Strategy is executed to design and course correct where it diverges
• Provide consultancy and direction on:
• Enterprise Architecture Definition and Maintenance
• Solution Architecture Guidance and Review
• Drive Solution Architecture Auditing, through participation in SDLC review points.
• Leverage understanding and experience with architectural frameworks and development technologies.
• Defining the systems architecture and performing core system reviews
• Produce recommendations and execution of processes for Analyses of Alternatives and Market Research for Products and Services to be acquired, including measurable success criteria
• Investments Technology strategy - contributing to the development of a rolling 3 year strategy
• Working with the Investment Transformation teams to ensure alignment of solutions to target architecture
• Investment management research - research into investment management related areas that may impact solutions - e.g. research via websites, Seminars, Webinars, consultants etc.
• New Technology appraisals - monitoring emerging technologies and tools.
• Applications research - research into new and existing applications and services and product roadmaps and directions followed by competitors
• Industry regulatory impacts - timeline and vendor engagement re solutions.
• Innovation - The questioning of systems and processes and the creation of new ideas
• Ensure decisions are made for the right reasons - with full appreciation of impacts.
• Project lifecycle management - Input into the strategic aspects of projects and solutions
• Provide Technical and Business Subject Matter Expertise on a broad range of topics across the portfolio including enterprise systems management and custom software developed solutions,

Requirements and Experience

• Deep understanding of Asset Management Business and Technology across both Public and Private markets
• Ideally, previous experience of BRS's Aladdin platform
• Degree level education or relevant experience
• 15+ years of demonstrated experience in delivering business value from an operational and actionable architecture perspective. Business value is defined as including performance improvement, reuse and cost efficiency
• Experience supporting different phases of Solution architecture delivery from initiation through to implementation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the solution development lifecycle and system development approach.
• Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills
• EA Repository experience with an industry leading EA tool e.g. SNOW APM, UPMX and Designer
