Job description

Enabling Functions Enterprise Architects at Tesco drive alignment to help Technology collectively deliver a simpler, flexible & sustainable architecture. They define, communicate and govern the enterprise and solution architecture for Enabling Functions covering Finance, Colleague, Property, and Legal domains to support Tesco's Business Strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Understanding the technology landscape: Develop models describing the application landscape and its support for the business; help colleagues understand their roles within the bigger picture.
2. Embedding Technology Strategy: Define target enterprise architecture aligned with business and technology plans; identify organizational requirements for resources, structures, and cultural changes; support delivery of Tesco's strategy with agility and cost efficiency; contribute to business planning with industry and technology insights.
3. Solution Design & Delivery: Collaborate with teams to design flexible, efficient, and secure solutions; establish governing principles, policies, and standards; support delivery through the technology lifecycle to realize strategic goals.
4. Architecture Capability Building: Enhance architecture skills within Tesco; create and lead a community for enterprise and data architecture topics; communicate proactively with colleagues and partners; build relationships across business and third parties.

Qualifications include proven experience in technology delivery at scale, strategic use of Enterprise Architecture, application architecture management, strategy communication, solution governance, and operating model knowledge in Finance, Colleague, and Property domains.
