Job description

The Enterprise Architect is the catalyst in strategic digital transformation initiatives. You will be responsible for helping to define the future architecture, applications, technologies, and security for our entire product platform ecosystem. You will also be at the core of engineering activities with the goal of delivering modular, distributed, flexible, and highly scalable commercial platforms partnering with product teams. The platforms you will architect will be driven by serverless or micro-services architecture, mainly in Azure. At BIFFA, we have a significant legacy estate, and you will develop strategies to move away from legacy systems while focusing on the latest technology trends to enable business growth.

Your core responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to develop a cross-business, multi-functional platform vision.
  2. Partner with business segment leaders to support and deliver key technology priorities.
  3. Perform architecture and technology evaluations of new solutions and drive rationalization and re-use decisions.
  4. Design highly scalable, performant, and secure cloud solutions, aligning with the target state platform vision. Provide technology leadership and drive product roadmaps by embracing Agile and DevOps practices. Develop architecture patterns and related services in domains such as Service Mesh, IoT, Chatbots, AI/ML, Data Persistence, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  5. Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Development Managers, and other architects to shape and align product roadmaps and the delivery of new features.
  6. Lead analysis of the current technology environment, including legacy systems, to identify deficiencies, technical debt, and develop strategies for scalable and future-proof solutions.
  7. Analyze industry and market technology trends to assess their impact on the enterprise architecture.
  8. Drive digital innovation by leveraging emerging technologies to refactor, extend, and transform the core technology base and IT estate.
  9. Leverage Microsoft technologies such as F&O, D365 CRM, Power Apps, which are heavily used at BIFFA, for relevant projects.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Experience in developing end-state enterprise architecture, mapping architecture to business capabilities, and using industry-standard frameworks.
  2. Hands-on development experience in languages such as C++, .Net, Python, Java, and SQL/no-SQL databases.
  3. Experience with frameworks like ReactJS, AngularJS, NodeJS, and designing Microservices or Event-Driven architectures.
  4. Experience with cloud migration, cloud-based application development, and API/web service development.
  5. Experience working in CI/CD environments, focusing on developing pipelines for Cloud and On-Prem infrastructure.
  6. Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, Agile practices, and tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
