Job summary

Addition is seeking an Enterprise Architect to lead oversized, mission-critical programmes within a defence/government environment. You will shape a cohesive enterprise delivery architecture across multiple organisations and partners, delivering scalable delivery models for future programmes and enhanced operational capability.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar strategic role.
• Designing operating models for multi-organisational, high-value programmes.
• Deep governance, systems engineering and assurance knowledge in defence/government sectors.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership and influencing abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Experience supporting strategic bids and programme mobilisation.

Join our team as an Enterprise Architect and be at the forefront of shaping innovative, large-scale mission-critical programmes within a dynamic defence and government environment. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of a cohesive enterprise delivery architecture that seamlessly integrates multiple organisations, partners, and stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and strategic outcomes. Your expertise will drive the creation of scalable, repeatable delivery models that underpin future programmes and maximise operational capability across complex ecosystems.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar strategic architecture role.
• Proven ability to design and implement operating models for multi-organisational, high-value programmes.
• Deep understanding of programme delivery, governance, systems engineering, and assurance in defence or government sectors.
• Skilled in defining enterprise processes, governance frameworks, and organisational structures.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, leadership, and influencing capabilities.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Experience supporting strategic bids and programme mobilisation.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, UAF, MODAF, or ArchiMate.
• Experience within UK Defence, MOD, NATO, or wider government programmes.
• Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies, DevSecOps, and digital transformation.
• Experience managing partner ecosystems and extensive supply chains.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Significant senior-level experience in strategic enterprise architecture roles.
• A background working on complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks are advantageous.

Other Requirements:

• Travel may be required to support programme needs.
• A strong understanding of security and assurance standards applicable in defence and government environments.
