Job summary

Talent seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to partner with the CIO and Technology Leadership Team to shape and drive the organisation's technology strategy.

You will own the target architecture and multi-year roadmap, ensuring investments align with business priorities while remaining scalable, secure and commercially sensible. The role spans Microsoft/Azure, Oracle, SaaS, packaged and legacy platforms across a complex estate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience defining enterprise technology strategy, target architecture and multi-year roadmaps.
• Experience with CIO-level/executive technology leadership.
• Strong experience establishing or leading enterprise architecture governance.
• Microsoft Azure architecture across cloud, integration, identity, data, security and governance.
• Knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Entra ID, Azure DevOps, .NET).
• Strong Oracle experience, OCI and ERP applications (Fusion ERP, HCM, EPM).
• Experience integrating MS, Oracle, SaaS and legacy platforms in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

Reporting to: CIO

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to work directly with the CIO and Technology Leadership Team, helping define and drive the organisation’s enterprise technology strategy.

This is a senior, strategic architecture role. You’ll take ownership of the target architecture and multi-year technology roadmap, ensuring technology investment supports wider business priorities while remaining scalable, secure and commercially sensible.

You’ll work across a complex technology estate spanning Microsoft/Azure, Oracle, SaaS, packaged and legacy platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Define enterprise IT strategy alongside the CIO and senior leadership.
• Own current-state, target-state and transition architecture.
• Develop and maintain the multi-year enterprise technology roadmap.
• Lead architecture governance, standards and design principles.

What We Need

You’ll need strong experience operating as a Senior/Lead/Principal Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect or equivalent, ideally within large or complex organisations.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience defining enterprise technology strategy, target architecture and multi-year roadmaps.
• Experience working directly with CIO-level / executive technology leadership.
• Strong experience establishing or leading enterprise architecture governance.
• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience across cloud, integration, identity, data, security and governance.
• Good knowledge of the wider Microsoft ecosystem, such as M365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Entra ID, Azure DevOps and .NET.
• Strong Oracle experience, ideally including OCI and enterprise applications such as Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM or EPM.
• Experience integrating Microsoft, Oracle, SaaS and legacy platforms across hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience providing architecture leadership across major cloud, ERP, data or business transformation programmes.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and the ability to translate business strategy into technology decisions.

Knowledge of APIs, event-driven architecture, IAM, zero-trust, DevSecOps and TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks would also be beneficial.

Energy & Utilities experience is advantageous but not essential. We’re open to candidates from other sectors who have worked within large, complex technology environments.
