ROLE SUMMARY

As an Enterprise Architect at Ultima, you are a technical leader understanding the relationships between various technology stacks and their impact on operations. You will work with Business Consultants and client stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring solutions are architecturally sound, operationally efficient, and aligned with industry best practices. You will provide guidance and mentorship to project teams, focusing on how technical solutions are designed, implemented, and maintained to meet business objectives. You will also explore emerging technologies to keep our clients at the forefront of technological advancement while maintaining operational stability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ROLE PURPOSE

The core purpose of this role is to ensure the technical integrity, operational effectiveness, and business value of client solutions. This involves:

• Solution ownership: Ownership of an entire programme or project from a technical perspective.
• Solution Design: Creating robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures that meet client needs, align with their long-term IT strategy, and integrate with operational processes.
• Operational Integration: Ensuring technology solutions enhance existing business operations by analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and designing streamlined solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Guiding project teams in solution implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, security standards, and operational requirements.
• Technology Innovation: Staying updated on emerging technologies and recommending their adoption considering technical capabilities and business impact.
• Governance & Standards: Establishing and enforcing architectural standards and guidelines for consistency, quality, and operational efficiency.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather and analyze technical and operational requirements from Business Consultants and stakeholders.
• Own technical portfolios of prospects and customers, leading complex multi-tenant solutions.
• Design and document technical solutions considering their impact on business workflows.
• Evaluate and select technologies and platforms based on cost, performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams.
• Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance throughout project lifecycle.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential operational improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless integration of third-party solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and operational guidelines.

• Extensive experience in senior technical roles delivering complex solutions that enhance business operations.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks.
• Strong technical expertise across various technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite members.
• Understanding of business process management and operational optimization principles.
