The role involves overseeing a large programme of IT and Application architecture projects, enabling the hospital to realize its vision of an integrated, intelligent environment for treatment and work.

  • Manage the enterprise architecture function within the organization, guiding business and digital capabilities.
  • Lead and manage a geographically dispersed team from within the NHS and industry, working on multiple architecture projects or programmes.
  • Define and connect strategies or visions across the organization or ICS, facilitating the implementation of shared strategies.
  • Communicate persuasively with senior stakeholders across various business and technical areas.
  • Set the strategy and deliver technologies to ensure the safe, secure, and successful integration of systems throughout hospital construction and operation, including clinical, construction, and estates systems—a first for the NHS.
  • Apply project risk management skills and proactively identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to inform their roadmaps.
  • Understand strategic issues and be familiar with the organization’s IT strategy, policies, and standards.
