Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking an AI Architect to shape and govern the firm’s AI landscape. You will translate business opportunities into practical AI designs and work across architecture, engineering, data, security and risk teams to ensure safe, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes responsible AI, governance and collaboration with multiple delivery teams to enable value across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI, ML, data science, software engineering, cloud architecture or solution architecture.
• Strong technical background with software engineering, cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, security.
• Experience building solutions on Databricks and Azure platforms.
• Proven ability to design enterprise AI architectures with governance, security and cost controls.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles and applying privacy, fairness and human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable AI architectures across generative AI, ML, automation and agents.
• Translate business needs into clear AI designs and explain complex choices to stakeholders.
• Promote reusable architecture patterns, guardrails and cost-aware solutions.
• Guide teams towards shared components and enterprise patterns across projects.
• Ensure testing, monitoring, governance and lifecycle controls are built in.
