Description

The successful candidate will develop and lead the execution of the Sales strategy for the Enterprise sectors including Transport, Utilities, and Energy. This includes a mix of direct sales into accounts and channel sales. You’ll map out these business verticals, find new accounts, and grow the business, working both in direct selling and supporting channel partner sales. Selling the VIAVI Test and Measurement portfolio, including field test and systemized test portfolios.

As the Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for meeting or exceeding forecasts, bookings targets, increasing market share, and gaining new product approvals within the accounts.

In addition to local business development, you will be involved in strategic planning and execution of VIAVI initiatives targeting key customers.

This involves collaborating with VIAVI Channel Partners engaged in the Enterprise market ecosystem.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies and account plans for Transport, Energy, and Utilities verticals.
  • Execute sales strategies to meet/exceed sales quotas and grow customer relationships.
  • Provide insights on customer trends and competitors, adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Conduct monthly sales forecasting and reporting.
  • Work with product management to develop customer solutions.
  • Support marketing campaigns to increase market awareness and generate leads.
  • Negotiate key opportunities personally when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Channel Partners to support opportunities and ensure coverage.
  • Participate in strategic customer meetings with Partners.
  • Support in-region Solution Engineers & Service Delivery teams.
  • Engage within the broader ecosystem to expand VIAVI’s reach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Direct sales experience in relevant sectors preferred.
  • Understanding of Energy, Transport, and Utilities sectors.
  • Knowledge of Fibre and Ethernet testing methodologies; Fibre Sensing experience advantageous.
  • Experience in system & solution selling from opportunity to closure.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Existing network in relevant sectors is a plus.
  • Strong customer relationship skills.
  • Familiarity with key account management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within UK, Ireland, and Nordic countries.
