Reporting to the Public Sector Sales Leader, as a new business Account Executive, you will be a sales professional experienced in selling into and opening new logo accounts within the Local Government and Education sector. You will bring an informed and compelling point of view on the Big Data and Advanced Analytics space, guiding your strategy and working with our teams and partners to provide exceptional value to our customers. You will focus on closing new logos while growing existing accounts.

The impact you will have:

  • Assess your accounts and develop strategies to identify and engage all buying centers, moving deals forward efficiently.
  • Use a solution-based approach to selling and creating value for new logo accounts.
  • Identify and close quick wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles.
  • Support your customers' big data and AI transformation goals through strategic partnerships, professional services, training, and executive engagement.
  • Build value in all engagements to facilitate successful negotiations.
  • Collaborate with teams to maximize your ecosystem's impact.
  • Manage the consumption story with your customers, using demand plans to identify viable use cases to maximize impact.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach by delivering technical and business results using the Databricks platform.

What we look for:

  • Strong background in new business development, closing experience, and quota over-achievement in public sector accounts.
  • Experience with Public Sector procurement frameworks is beneficial.
  • Sales experience within Cloud software, open source technology, or Data and AI space.
  • Experience in adopting usage-based subscription services (SaaS) and co-selling with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud teams.
  • Ability to identify key use cases and buying centers to increase impact and business value.
  • Skills in co-developing business cases and gaining support from C-level executives.
  • Experience building effective champions, collaborative teams, and partnerships.
  • Understanding of consumption-based land and expand sales models.
  • Experience following robust sales methodologies like account planning, MEDDPICC, Value Selling, and accurate forecasting.
