Overview

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced ENT Consultant to join our forward-thinking and collaborative team based across Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped department delivering a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services. The agreed post is for one year with a view to a substantive agreement if both parties mutually agree. This post offers a 10 PA job plan with a flexible working structure, supported professional activities, and a strong commitment to education, research, and clinical governance. You\'ll be expected to contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, audit and service development initiatives, and provide high-quality patient care.

    Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients presenting to the Hospital.
  • To provide and support colleagues with the management of all adult and paediatric patients presenting with ENT conditions.
  • To develop close links with the ENT Team and undertake the responsibilities of outpatient ENT Clinics.
  • Teaching and training of intermediate grade and junior medical staff, medical students and ENT Nursing Staff.
  • To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
  • To have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development.
