  • Specialist in ENT with an interest in Head & Neck, potentially Thyroid.

Job description

Our NHS client in the South West has appointed us to help recruit them an ENT Consultant on either a Permanent or NHS Fixed Term basis. The NHS Fixed Term option is available for those not currently on the Specialist Register.

The successful appointee will be joining an existing team of 5 Consultants who have a philosophy of team working and who are constantly seeking to provide a first class service in a caring and patient oriented environment. The appointee will be asked to fulfil various responsibilities such as having a wide general interest and an interest in Head & Neck including possibly Thyroid. The post will include on call, theatre and outpatient clinics both on the acute site and in community settings.

In addition, they will be asked to fulfil other responsibilities such as: teaching and training at undergraduate and postgraduate level and supervised and train the juniors and specialty doctors, being proactive in ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment and clinical decision making & liaising with clinicians and managers within and outside the department to address any issues arising that may affect the services.
