Job summary

Kingston College is seeking an Enrichment Officer to design, develop and deliver a broad enrichment programme that engages students and meets their needs. You will boost participation to ensure the 26-hour entitlement is met and lead initiatives that build resilience, employability, and social skills among 16–19-year-olds from diverse backgrounds.

The role requires Level 3+ qualifications in Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care or IAG, and a proactive

Qualifications

  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in an appropriate area and experience of working with young people aged 16-19 years from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrable experience designing, developing and delivering an enrichment programme.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and deliver a diverse enrichment programme engaging a wide range of students.
  • Increase student participation and engagement to meet the 26-hour entitlement.
  • Lead and collaborate to build resilience, employability, personal and social skills and positive student relationships.
  • Analyse participation and impact data, produce reports and identify gaps to improve the enrichment offer.

Job description

Student Services supports students at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. The department has a student orientated culture and puts students needs at the heart of everything it does.

Joining us as an Enrichment Officer, you will have demonstrable experience of designing, developing, and delivering a diverse enrichment programme that engages a wide range of students and meets varying needs and interests. You will also be confident in increasing student participation and engagement to support students in achieving their 26-hour entitlement.

You will be dynamic, self-motivated and highly organised, bringing innovative ideas to actively develop and enhance the enrichment process and increase student engagement and participation across the college.

Working with others, you ll lead to provide a programme that supports students to build resilience, stay safe and develop employability, personal and social skills whilst proactively building positive relationships with students and effectively challenging behaviour/signposting to support services.

You will build and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies and organisations, plan, coordinate and deliver a varied programme of activities and events, analyse participation and impact data, produce reports and use evidence to inform future planning and improvements whilst taking a proactive approach to identify gaps and opportunities within the enrichment offer.

We d like our Enrichment Officer to be qualified to Level 3 or above in an appropriate area (Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care or IAG) and have experience of working with young people aged 16-19 years of age from a variety of backgrounds, understanding the needs and issues surrounding them and the difficulties students face.
