Job summary

Care Concern Group's Chetwynd House Care Home in Chilwell, Nottingham, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance residents' wellbeing with engaging, person-centred activities. You will plan, organise and deliver a varied programme for groups and individuals, tailoring to interests and abilities while ensuring safety and accurate activity records.

Qualifications

• Creative, enthusiastic and organised individual with a passion for enriching the lives of older people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual needs and preferences.
• Understanding of person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, infection prevention and safe activity delivery.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and adapt activities to residents' changing needs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities, care, hospitality, events, childcare or a similar role is desirable; however, candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities and life experiences.
• Working closely with residents, families and colleagues to encourage participation and support hobbies.
• Organise seasonal events, outings and community activities to keep residents active, connected and engaged.
• Deliver activities safely by following Health & Safety, infection prevention and risk assessment procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity records and adapt programmes to meet residents' changing needs.
• Through creativity, compassion and teamwork, help create a welcoming environment where every resident feels valued and included.
