You may want to work in an inpatient setting but find the shift patterns difficult to accommodate around your life outside of work. This role offers flexibility in shift times and patterns to make it work.
We are a
newly established team that supports the care of patients with a Mental Health diagnosis and concerns on our Generalist and Specialist Inpatient Wards in the following locations: Norwich, Dereham, Kelling, Wymondham, Swaffham, and North Walsham.
You will work with our teams in NCH&C, our dedicated Mental Health nurse, patients, and their families to deliver care plans that give the best possible patient experience and outcomes.
To support you, you will be able to devise your own working pattern with the team, which does not have to fit with the normal clinical shift patterns. You will be based on a "home" ward but be expected to travel to different locations in Norfolk to support teams with patients that need your expertise. To fulfill the requirements of the role, you will need a full driving license and to be able to make your own travel arrangements. If you wish to claim mileage, having business insurance is essential.

- To answer the telephone, when necessary, in a polite courteous manner and respond appropriately within remit and pass on enquiries to the Registered Nurse.
- Communicate effectively within the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team, and other departments to ensure that patient care is well planned and coordinated.
- To contribute to the handover of the care of patients within the team under the direct supervision of a RN maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Report and record using the trusts systems (Datix) of all incidents, accidents, and complaints to the senior nurse on duty.
- Use the System One and ICE and other trust systems as required by the clinical area.
