Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking an Enhanced Access Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support evening and weekend clinics across the Primary Care Network in Tower Hamlets. You will work with doctors, nurses and pharmacists to deliver safe, patient-centred care and to perform delegated clinical duties.

You will conduct routine clinical observations, blood pressure and ECG measurements, venepuncture where trained, health promotion activities, and maintain accurate records using the clinical systems.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate or equivalent healthcare qualification.
• Evidence of healthcare assistant training.
• Venepuncture competency (or willingness to undertake training).

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, pulse, and BMI, plus oxygen saturation.
• Carry out venepuncture and ECG recordings.
• Record clinical information accurately in the clinical system.
• Assist with stock monitoring and ordering of clinical supplies.
• Greet patients professionally and protect privacy.
