Job summary

A primary healthcare provider in Leeds is seeking a healthcare assistant to perform duties including phlebotomy, NHS Health Checks, and clinical administration. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting and be skilled in SystmOne. This position is essential for supporting patient care in a community environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct blood pressure checks and NHS Health Checks.
  • Manage stock control and ordering.

Job description

All enhanced Access sessions will be held at Beechtree Medical Centre these will be held on Saturdays and Sundays only.

Main duties of the job

Phlebotomy, LTC reviews, testing of urine samples as requested by clinicians, diabetic foot checks, NHS Health Checks, Wound Care, BP checks, processing and management of lab samples requested by GPs and Nurses, monitoring and recording, stock control and stocking rooms, administration as necessary.

Job responsibilities
  • Testing of urine samples as requested by clinicians
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Blood Pressure Checks
  • Stock rotation
  • Stock ordering, control and re-stocking consulting rooms
  • Clinical administration as necessary
  • Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions.
  • Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
  • Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Experience of working in a primary care or health care environment.
  • Experience of working with the general public.
  • Willing to adapt and develop as the Practice requires.
