Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of teaching and learning, including monitoring assessment processes in line with awarding body requirements.
• Teach GCSE English and Functional Skills to 16-18-year-olds and adult learners (daytime and/or evening classes).
• Create sequencing documents, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials, and other related activities to enhance learning effectiveness.
• Coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments conducted by the course team.
• Communicate assessment and timetable information clearly to both the course team and students.
• Proactively contribute to the success and vision of the department.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Level 4 qualification in English or a related field.
• Knowledge of the GCSE English syllabus.
• Understanding of diverse teaching, learning, and assessment strategies for English skills.
• Knowledge of the Functional Skills English syllabus.
