Role Information

As an English Tutor, you will support learners in developing their English skills and confidence, guiding them to achieve nationally recognized qualifications. You will work with a nationwide team, creating tailored learning experiences and receiving support from subject specialists and managers. This is a part-time role, working 18.75 hours per week.

Duties:

  • Deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills English sessions.
  • Assess learners' starting points and development needs.
  • Plan and deliver tailored learning experiences.
  • Complete Individual Learning Plans with SMART targets and reviews.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as learner registers and performance documentation.
  • Collaborate with vocational colleagues to support retention, achievement, and progression.
  • Ensure assessments meet awarding body and organizational standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and standardisation activities.
  • Promote safe working practices, safeguarding, and health and safety.
  • Engage in CPD opportunities and deliver CPD sessions based on your skills.
  • Create an inspiring learning environment.
  • Adhere to company values, promote diversity, and ensure confidentiality and professionalism.
