Candidate Profile:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).
  • Experienced in teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4. (KS5 experience desirable, but not essential).
  • Passionate about English and able to engage students of all abilities.
  • A skilled classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management.
  • Committed to raising attainment and fostering a love of reading and writing.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Dedicated to ongoing professional development.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic English lessons.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Regularly assess student progress; provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the English department.
  • Contribute to curriculum development initiatives.
