Teacher of English Roles and Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, following school curriculum guidelines.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners, including those with additional support requirements.
• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes progress, confidence, and achievement.
• Manage behaviour effectively, using strategies that encourage respect and focus.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school when required, maintaining high professional standards.

The Ideal English Teacher Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4); KS5 experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver lessons that engage and challenge students.
• A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young people.
• An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
