As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students in their study of English. You will support students in developing a well-rounded understanding of literature, language, and writing. Your role will include:

As an English Teacher, you should be planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and meaningful English lessons to students of various age groups (KS3, KS4, KS5 preferable).

• Encouraging students to apply literary analysis and critical thinking skills in various contexts.
• Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure the assessment and monitoring of student progress in English.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment within the English department.
• As a qualified English Teacher, you will be expected to attend departmental meetings.

Key Qualities We Are Looking For:

• A strong passion for English literature and language, and a desire to support students' understanding.
• A recognized teaching qualification in English, or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching English to secondary-aged students is highly desirable.
• A passion for developing young people academically and critically.
