Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a prestigious all-boys independent school in Islington. This full-time, permanent position, with an April start, offers a unique opportunity to shape the literary and communication skills of young men.

About the Role:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive English curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will foster a love for literature, encourage critical thinking, and nurture students' ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons that cover a range of literary genres and themes.
  • Create a dynamic learning environment that promotes discussion, debate, and independent learning.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and engagement with language and literature.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
