Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join an Outstanding Ofsted-rated mixed gender secondary school in Enfield. This full-time, permanent position, with an April start, offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire and educate students in the power of language.

About the Role:

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for literature and language, and encouraging students to develop critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to individual student needs, ensuring engagement and challenge.
• Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment promoting active participation and collaboration.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies catering to diverse learning styles.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the English curriculum.
• Contribute to extracurricular English activities, such as book clubs, debating societies, and creative writing workshops.

Ideal Candidate:

• Passion for English literature and language, with a strong understanding of literary analysis and creative writing.
• Relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and a strong academic background in English literature or related field.
• Proven experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally within an Outstanding Ofsted-rated school.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
