English Teacher (Mornings Only) – Leicester

AP Location: Leicester

Contract Type: Part-time (mornings only)

Salary: £120 – £160 per day (half days)

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a qualified English Teacher to deliver lessons in an alternative provision setting. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who understands the challenges of engaging learners with SEMH and additional needs.

The Role:

• Deliver English lessons to small groups of secondary-aged students in an AP setting.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of students with SEMH and SEND.
• Create an engaging and structured learning environment where students feel safe and supported.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement consistent routines and behaviour strategies.

About You:

• MUST hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching English, ideally in alternative provision or SEND schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, with a trauma-informed approach.
• Resilient, adaptable, and passionate about helping vulnerable learners succeed.
