Duties

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Assess, record, and report on students' progress in English Language and Literature.
  • Develop schemes of work and resources that inspire and challenge students.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive departmental and school-wide culture.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as book clubs or writing competitions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree in English, English Literature, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level.
