Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated English teachers for a permanent role supporting KS3 and KS4 students in Cambridge. Job description

Randstad Education is looking for dedicated and experienced English teachers to support KS3 and KS4 students in schools across Cambridge. This opportunity provides a competitive pay, aligned with your expertise, qualifications, and teaching background.

This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours 8:30AM-15:00PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Punctual and reliable

Preferred Skills:

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal Attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Track record of delivering outstanding teaching.
  • Innovation & creativity to engage, enthuse & progress learners.
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum.
