English Teacher Required - Secondary School in Lambeth - January 2025 Start A thriving secondary school in the vibrant and diverse borough of Lambeth is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their successful English department.
This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities of this role include: Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum and inspire students to develop a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
Creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters students' appreciation for language and literature, and encourages them to express themselves effectively.
Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to the needs of all learners.
Contributing to the development and enrichment of the English curriculum, including the selection of texts and resources.
Collaborating effectively with colleagues and participating in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in English or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature curriculum.
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English.
Proven ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment.
