Job description

My client is looking for an English Teacher to work at an Establishment around the Newcastle upon Tyne area. This is a Full-time Temporary role to start on 28th April 2025 on an ongoing basis and it will be teaching both the KS3 & GCSE classes.

Ideally candidates will have:

  1. Recent experience teaching the English classes
  2. A Relevant Teaching Qualification
  3. Experience of teaching the KS3 & GCSE Level

If you are a teacher with dynamic qualities who has a proven record of raising pupil attainment, are able to motivate, inspire and support pupils of all abilities, are keen to further develop your own practice and to work in a team, then we would like to hear from you.

Job Specific Requirements

  1. Ability to teach the full range of timetabled courses in the subject area
  2. Experience in the subject area, and of planning and assessment of pupil learning
  3. A knowledge of current issues and developments in curriculum
  4. Experience of curriculum development
  5. Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with staff, pupils and parents
  6. Ability to effectively manage the learning and teaching of individual pupils, groups and classes
  7. Ability to prioritise the work of the subject department
  8. Proven organisational skills
  9. Ability to use appropriate interpersonal skills when relating to staff, pupils and parents
