Job description

Aspire People is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in East London to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time role, ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to begin or continue their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
Assess, track and report on student progress in line with school policies
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN or EAL
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support student outcomes
Maintain high standards of behaviour and follow the school's behaviour management policies
Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parent evenings as required

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
