Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic team at a Secondary School in Northampton, starting in September 2025. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students in a well-established, thriving educational environment.

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love of literature, language, and writing among students. You will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal development of students, ensuring that each learner is given the tools and opportunities to reach their full potential. Your commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere will be key to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English that are tailored to the curriculum and student needs.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
  • UK teaching experience in English, with proven experience in delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A strong understanding of the English curriculum and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
